Can u hae a low bf but no abs


i am 16 years old (male) a am 139lbs. Also 6ft tall and hae 27 inch waist. Eery bf test i take, i come up with the results somewhere between 7-10. Howeer, i had always thought that a bf that low would mean my abs would show. Are the results wrong? Or am i just being paranoid? When i was about 12 went on a harsh diet (1400 cals) lots of running. Thats how i am so light. i know i burned a lot a muscle.

    it can depend normally if ur bf is 10 then u dnt have a six pack just a line runing down the centre but wen u get down to 7 or 8 u have a 4 pack but dont forget u need to have strong abs to see them otherwise theyll look weak. Plus some of them bf scales are useless ull have 2 spend alot of money on 1 to get a decent reading.

    dont worry about the muscle you burned in the past, you still hav the same number of muscle fibers as the day you were born, weight training will help these fibres grow stronger and larger to which will lead to larger muscle bellys and a more muscular appearance, if your bodyfat is that low and you stil cant see definition then you should try a programme that will bulk your abs, this will involve lower reps and working against resistance. Try performing Ab curls & oblique curls with a medicene ball or barbell plate held on your chest or behind your head, and for lower abs try hanging knee raises with ankle weights. Aim for a weight that allows you to achieve 10-12 reps per set for 3-4 sets per exercise, hope this is of some help!
