How long after a workout do muscles need protein?


I work out three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and rest Saturday and Sunday. Is what I eat on Sunday still fueling muscle growth from my workout on Friday?

    Hi,
    Take a good protein shake to the gym and drink it before you leave, then within the next hour have a proper balance meal containing Fats Protein and Carbohydrates. Try to eat 2grams of protein per kg of body weight, every day. A good calorie counter book will give you the protein,carbohydrate, fat and fibre content of individual foods, try to get one that gives you both uncooked weights and values and cooked ones. Read the lables, most packaged foods give you the same info but not all do, thus the need for the book.
