dear user
Not sure if you are still awaiting an answer to your issue as you first posted 2 weeks ago, I will give an opinion anyway, from experience. At 20 years old I had that same issue….I was fairly light at 10 stone and 5 foot 10, skinny but with fat round the base of my lower abs….im now 33
There unfortunately is no easy answer, you clearly do not want to lower your BMI any further and cannot spot reduce fat my excersising that area.
Doing CV at the right times of the day i.e the morning for around 3 - 4 times a week at …in your case a heart rate of 135 - 150 (65 - 75% of max heart rate)for a period of 30 mins - 45 max is what is recommended for thos who want to decrease body fat.
The issue is, fat is not neccessarily burnt from you stomach first and in your case you can be sure that you will burn some muscle and water, resulting in you BMI falling lower.
You will need to eneter into a weights programme also where you are lifting weights at least twice a week, ( two total body workouts if you are a beginner) and increase your protein intake in order to deal with your increased amino acid needs with your increased activity and to protect you muscle mass.
You need to be consistent, wright down your gains and decreases in stomach fat, do not get disheartened and keep to it, Let each work out build on the next….if you have any questions post again, I will keep an eye …..
