Hi, id like to answer all of your questions and
queries : ) But first of all, 3800 calories a
day and u weigh just over 6 stone?? Well u need
to post back and be more specific as to where
them calories are coming but u seem to know a
fair bit so im guessing thats with balanced meals
and high protein with a happy amount of fruit
and vegetables?? i hope so....Secondly if u
want to bulk a little to see if u like being
a bigger size i would recommend doing only
3 sets of 8/10 reps per muscle group, and with
failure at the last but not much pain...this
will put on size. Not to worry u but i wouldnt
do this constantly, for a month at a time?
U say u maybe dont want to be much bigger so
after a 1/2stone gain, use your enthuisiam
to put some reps in like 2 sets of 12/15 on
3 different exercises on a small fast weight
to tone up and give u good posture?? and if
u dont like the size u have put on?? put the
weights down for a month and hit the cardio
for a while! I hope this has helped : )
All the very best

ps any more detailed advice, please ask

The calories have been coming from food, I take a promax supplement each day, sometimes i have one and a half, but I eat things like oatmeal, fruit and veg, and beans and stuff, and lots of chicken. I have been eating out a lot this last couple of weeks because i have been busy and my dad takes me out a lot, and socialising in the sun etc so have been eating things like chicken club sandwiches with fries. I have just started introducing carbs into my diet a again like pasta, fries and bread, as i didnt eat these alot before. I have always had a sweet tooth so i eat alot of icecream, but have always done this, and when i was lossing weight i still ate puddings, but low fat ones, but i always eat icecream after a meal out. My diet previously was fairly religious and predictable, and v healthy most of the time, now like i say i have included carbs here and there now, and i just feel hungrier these days. How many calories should i be eating each day to manitai my weight do you think, if i knkew this at least that would be a starting point. like you say im only 6 stone so it must be a low amount.
hope that is more specific.

I would advise going to your GP for a thyroid function test, if you haven't already done so.
