Should I train my forearms?
Should I train my forearms? Will it help my bench press or is it just a painful waste of time?

Full Monty is right, as long as you don’t use straps your forearms will adjust and stay in proportion to the rest of your body. (Your forearms are used in every upperbody exercise so watch out for overtraining if you do decide to train them) But as for improving your 1 Rep Max on the Bench Press, do 1-5 rep ranges. I have had really good results from using this method: 1st set: 4 reps. 2nd and 3rd sets: 3 reps, use a weight that is VERY heavy for you (about 90% of your currant 1RM), make sure the sets are to failure and don’t change weight for the sets because if you do it right you won’t be able to complete 4 reps for the 2nd and 3rd sets. You will increase very rapidly so take note of new 1RMs. Make sure you warm up very well before hand but dont exhaust the muscle group, and I suggest only staying on the program for 3 weeks at a time and leave a good 5days before doing it again for the same muscle group.
Hope this helps abit!
