shoulder injury, what could it be?
3 weeks ago i was doin a real heavy shoulder workout, which incorporated military presses, side laterals, and upright rowing, the following day i woke to find a pain in my shoulder which has been with me ever since and i am unable to do any weights at all now. doctor prescribed anti flammotry which have had no affect whatsoever, any ideas what i could have done? or how long it will take to heal? any advice would most be welcome, thanks dave

Could be a rotator cuff tear Dave, although I hope not. I injured mine 3 or 4 years ago and it still gives me pain and limits my shoulder exercises.

It’s possible that it is a rotator cuff injury, but anti-inflammatory drugs wouldn’t fix this. I know that it is common to get tendonitis round the attachments of the rotator cuffs so its more likely to be this. Exercise light and try something called eccentric loading which is suppose to work, but who knows?
Good luck!
