I am 16 Years old, and play rugby at colts level however i have found the step up from junior rugby quite intense so i have started looking at muscle building supplements, i want to increase muscle power mainly, just wondering if you could give some info on the best types of suplements?

Don’t aim for the supplements, aim for the weights. That will give you the power. No supplements will help you if you don’t go to the gym and pump that iron.

Hey m8 I’m 17 and I play for Kent, My main reason for starting training was to bulk up for rugby so I know exactly where you’re coming from! I have been on Promax extreme from maximuscle for the last 6 weeks and it has worked well however if you do a bit of research and look around Cyclone seems definately to be the one to buy! I would reccommend you choose Cyclone as it makes everything very simple and easy to follow but make sure you use good form as opposed to unrealistically heavy weights because being young like me you will either injure yourself in the short term or you will develop bad habits which will lead to injuries or more serious troubles later in life! Be sensible and train hard, Ohh and i’m doing A level PE really think about choosing it m8 because its awesome, and it’ll help you alot with your training.
    Good luck
    Josh
P.S. if you want to chat about rugby or want any tips or training routines from the kent coaches my msn is Josh_busboy@hotmail.com

Oh yeah just read your question again you didn’t mention training? Supplements are only as help For your training, If you take supplements without putting the work in you will either put weight on in fat or you will literally piss your expensive nutrints down the drain as your body will have no need for them.

    iite m8,

i play rugby 4 wrexham && nrth wales

i take Creatine, and protein supplements,

    there ya best bet,

but u gotta put ya work in @ tha gym,

    i go 3 times a week for 1 30 hours,

takin Creatine && protein i found that,

if ya have 2.5g of Creatine 1 hr b4 ya work out,

then have 2.5g while you work out mixed wit 20g
of protein, this will keep your lactic acid levels down,
while adding muscle, then after your work out,
about half an hour to an hour, have another 20g
of protein, whey or soya protein always works 4 me,

n remeber, make sure you get the technique rite,
or you risk messing up how ur muscles develop,
so using the macheines is better, as a beginer,
    because they guide your muscles,

then get an instructor to help you with the free weights,

then u will see things happenin with in a month,
n by next year u will really notice the differance,
just make sure you keep to a program.
